ECOBAT Technologies Ltd. is the world´s largest producer of lead and lead alloys, incorporating 17 smelting and production facilities throughout Europe, United States and South Africa where we produce around 800,000 tonnes per annum. ECOBAT today is the only company worldwide which operates a closed recycling loop for lead-acid batteries. Over 80% of our lead production is recycled lead, which involves the manufacture of refined lead from scrap lead sources, primarily spent lead-acid batteries. We maximize the value derived from our lead recycling operations by converting what would have been waste products into by-products that we sell or recycle as independent products.

In addition, our South African operations produce zinc, aluminium, industrial minerals, plastics and polyfoams.
