BLM British Lead is the UK's leading Rolled Lead Sheet manufacturing company. The BLM site in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, is home to one of the UK's most advanced rolling mills, state of the art robot finishing lines and the UK’s largest recycling facility for Lead recovered from construction demolition.

This ensures that all rolled lead sheet is produced to exacting British and European standards using 100% recycled raw material. Three rolling mills give BLM the capacity to produce in excess of 60,000 tonnes of rolled lead sheet annually and enable the company to offer the widest range of sizes anywhere in the UK. The BLM depot network and in-house distribution ensures complete nationwide coverage, giving BLM customers the highest service levels available from lead stockists anywhere in Europe.

Rolled lead sheet is mainly specified for a variety of roofing and cladding applications including flashings, dormers, gutters and flat roofs. Lead provides a lasting protection and attractive finish for historical and contemporary buildings and BLM also supply rolled lead sheet to the X-Ray shielding, nuclear shielding and sound attenuation industries.

BLM is a member of the UK Lead Sheet Association, the foremost independent authority on the design, specification and application of rolled lead sheet for the construction industry.
